Medical ID Bracelets + Coupon Code

I was really against the idea of wearing a Medical ID bracelet after my diagnosis. I only associated them with the boring, masculine chunky chain link bracelets advertised at the pharmacy counter at Walgreens. My mom actually persuaded me to look into getting bracelets and gave me the name of a few websites that sold fashionable options for women, men, and children.

I was so impressed with the medical id jewelry site called www.laurenshope.com. They have so many options! I was looking for something simple and pretty for when I'm traveling or away from home by myself, and something sporty for when I'm at the gym or going for a run.

I absolutely love the two silicone bracelets I chose. They're easy to put on and look great with my extensive workout clothing wardrobe.

I suggest using a body tape measurer to figure out your correct bracelet size. If you don't have one, simply use some string or even a strip of paper. Wrap it around your wrist snuggly and mark it with a pencil. Then measure the length in inches with a regular foot long ruler. Add 1 inch = your size.
My measurement: 6 inches + 1 inch = 7 inch bracelet

I'm a huge fan of supporting small business through Etsy. I even have my own Etsy shop called: WonderlustDesignsCo. There are hundreds of shops on there selling engravable bracelets, necklaces, and ID tags. I searched for medical id bracelets on Etsy until I found BeautizJewelry shop. I loved all the metal, string colors, and engravement fonts options! I chose a silver, blue (#15), and Academy Engraved Monogram font for my name and condition. The shop owner, Laurie, lives in Quebec. My package took about 8 days to be delivered to Los Angeles.

I kept my bracelets simple and to the point by engraving only my name and condition. Other engraving options:
Your First and Last Name
Medical Condition(s)
Treatment Considerations
Food and Drug Allergies
Emergency Contact Number (ICE) with area code
*When listing a medication, be sure to indicate whether you are taking this medication or are allergic to it. EXAMPLE: ON STEROIDS vs STEROID ALLERGY

Check out the next bracelet from Lauren's Hope that I have my eye on Moroccan Cuff.. ;-)
